The job itself involved a lot of skilled work in both GRP and woodworking in addition

After completing a brand market investigation into synthetic teak decking, Flexiteek became my solution of choice especially their walnut version, which was slightly unusual and I thought suited my ageing motor-sailer rather well. Thus began my outstanding bespoke service from Nathan (Nathan Bone Yacht Repairs) covering the various design permutations, the complex templating and the demanding fitting.

Nathan Bone Yacht Repairs is a small band of extremely talented and vastly experienced shipwrights and Rich, who completed the templates, also did the fitting and he delivered a first class installation. Owners are encouraged ‘to get involved’ and it was a delight to see at first hand such a quality performance from a very professional team, who were prepared to go ‘the extra mile’.

Nathan fixed the fibreglass and gelcoat damage on my boat, he matched the gelcoat colour perfectly as well getting the profile spot on.

He did a very professional job, kept in contact with me throughout and updated me on the progress.

We were looking to have our teak deck replaced and spoke to a few companies that provided teak alternatives. We met Nathan found him to be straight forward and offer sound advice.

He guided us through the process and we booked a slot for winter 2021/22, he kept in touch and the work started only a few days later the schedule A real refreshing change was that Nathan kept us informed, which unfortunately is not common place.

While our boat was in the shed we had some localised spraying carried out, with first class results. Nathan also coordinated with a couple of other companies that carried out work while the boat was with him. We had a relaunch pre booked on lift and all works were carried out on time and the boat was back in the water on schedule.

Our old decks were replaced with Flexiteek.  A tricky job (removing the original) but the ‘can do’ attitude of Nathan and his team ensured it was done carefully and within the deadline. They were a friendly, professional bunch and Nathan regularly communicated to make sure we were happy with progress.  We most certainly were and have had many positive comments on the new decks which have been transformed both in terms of their appearance and usability.  We will always be pleased that we chose Nathan over other providers.
