Flexiteek 2G is a beautiful, long lasting alternative to traditional teak decking. It offers a host of benefits that make it the preferred choice for boat and yacht owners. We are the authorised distributors of Flexiteek in the South West and can provide you with an individually designed deck to withstand the rigours of marine environments, from heavy foot traffic to exposure to sea water and UV rays.

As traditional deck specialists and shipwrights we pride ourselves in providing an aesthetic alternative to traditional teak decks.

Each installation is individually designed and manufactured in house enabling us to cater to each boats unique requirements. We are able to provide indoor installation facilities at Yacht haven Quay and Plymouth Yacht Haven. We are also able to install at all major marinas around the south west.

Cooler under foot

Flexiteek’s heat-reflecting properties are also valued as it makes stepping out on deck, even in the hottest weather, much more comfortable. Since it cools 30 per cent faster than real teak, passengers will find they can regularly walk on the surface barefoot. Its proven non-slip properties will ensure that all aboard retain their sea legs – even in the roughest conditions.

Flexiteek benefits

Flexiteek 2G™ is available in a range of colours from traditional teak to more contemporary shades such as carbon and off-white. Unlike traditional teak, these colours will not fade over time. The surface is also incredibly easy to look after. Specialist teak oils and cleaning products can be replaced by plain soap and water. This is sufficient to clean away most stains, from red wine to fish blood, although you might want to use a pressure washer every few years to return it to its original state.

Eco-friendly

In environmental terms, Flexiteek is fully recyclable and contains a phthlate free plasticiser which complies with European REACH chemical legislation.
Flexiteek has been rigorously tested and conforms to many international materials standards including ASTM G 154 (UV light resistance) and ASTM D 4518 (slide resistance).

How do I buy?

Flexiteek is completely customised to fit every boat (or home project). We will begin by measuring the area to be covered before asking you to select from a range of deck and caulk colour combinations. We can also go through the available trim options to create a seamless finish.

Nathan organised the full stripping of old teak from our boat and its replacement with Flexiteek at the end of 2022. After completing a brand market investigation into synthetic teak decking, Flexiteek became my solution of choice especially their walnut version, which was slightly unusual and I thought suited my ageing motor-sailer rather well.
